Orange Laptop Dongles

With the wide variety of service and product options, staying connected is something that is taken for granted nowadays whether it is through a mobile phone or internet-enabled notebook. Orange has let out two new Connected laptops – Asus 1005HGO and Compaq CQ61 as also two more dongles, namely, Orange e1752 and Option 515M across the U.K.

Though access to Orange’s 3G network will not be provided with the notebooks, those who buy them need not pay the whole price up front. Asus 1005HGO sports a 10.1” screen and webcam. Its 1.27kg light chassis makes it extremely portable. The device comes with Windows 7 Starter and an integrated SIM card. The Compaq CQ61 has a 15.6” display and is packaged with Orange e1752, Windows Home Premium, DVD player and webcam.

“These new mobile broadband devices provide both our consumers and small and medium-sized business customers with the latest technology and best value for money. We will continue to build on these offerings throughout 2010 to ensure our customers benefit from one of the most competitive product portfolios in the UK,” declared François Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK.

As for the Orange dongles, the e1752 will be offered with select mobile broadband packages while Option 515M will be sold with a free 8GB SD memory card. The broadband plans include 1GB, 3GB, 10GB and 500GB packages. The dongles cost £29 (approx. Rs.2,227) with 30 day tariffs and £20 (approx. Rs.1,535), correspondingly.

For those interested in purchasing the laptops, Orange offers users the flexibility of choosing from 18 or 24 month tariff plans at prices ranging from £25 – £40 (approx. Rs.1,919 – Rs.3,071), per month on 1GB, 3GB or 5GB plans. SMEs that opt for a 24 month tariff plan can avail of unlimited U.K. data usage too.
