Motorola introduces two new features for the Mototrbo digital two-way radio system namely the Capacity Plus and the IP Site Connect. It also introduces its latest commercial radio called as the CP185.

The features in the Mototrbo Capacity Plus give better voice and data communications. Besides having access to eight voice channels, additional channels are also available. This single-site trunking operates sans a controller which enables users to cut on equipment costs.

Motorola director of North America Professional/Commercial Radios Paul Cizek said, “Capacity Plus expands the capacity of both voice and data communications, which helps to increase business productivity without the cost of acquiring additional channels.”

The Mototrbo IP Site Connect allows customers to share voice and data communication through the IP site connect digital feature. It can link up to 15 repeaters and enables users to use the Mototrbo to roam from one coverage area to another automatically, without manually changing it.

Commenting on the IP Site Connect, Paul Cizek said, “Whether it’s extending communication between multiple locations, creating continuous wide area coverage or enhancing single site coverage, IP Site Connect enables users to link repeaters together to extend the voice and data communication reach of their workforce anywhere in the world.”

Both the Mototrbo Capacity Plus and the Mototrbo IP Site Connect allow users to monitor and manage their systems with Repeater Diagnostics and Control applications.
