In the honor of the original series of Star Trek, Brando has announced the launch of its new innovation, the Star Trek USB Communicator Internet Phone. It is said to be a replica of the communicator used by the crew of the Enterprise in the original show.
Technically, the device works as a VoIP handset and features a built-in microphone, an earphone and an integrated speaker with 21 sound effects. Users can converse online via major VOIP chat services such as Skype, MSN, AIM, iChat and many more, reports Brando.
It is compatible with USB interface and offers plug-and-pay operation, ensuring ease-of-use. It supports computers that run on Windows XP and Vista as well as Mac OSX 10.5. In addition, it connects to PCs through the bundled USB cable that is 6-feet long.
The Star Trek Communicator VOIP handset is available for purchase at an estimated price of $44 (approx. Rs. 2,165).
