Lenovo rolls out new laptops and netbook

Lenovo is on a roll these days, along with its slim all-in-one desktop, it has introduced new addition to its renowned IdeaPad Y Series with Y650, Y550 and Y450 laptops as well as S10 netbook. These are thinner and lighter compared to the previous models.

The Ideapad Y Series Y650, Y550 and Y450 laptops adorn a soft black design and a copper accent around the perimeter. The Y650 with a 16-inch display is lighter than some 15-inch models, weighing about 5.6 pounds its thinnest point measures only one-inch. The Y550 and Y450 sport 14-inch and 15.6-inch display respectively. With the 16:9 format glossy widescreen panels, the screens offer an exceptional Hi-Definition entertainment and multimedia experience.

The new laptops are configurable up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and 500GB of hard drive storage capacity. They come equipped with optional latest generation NVIDIA GFX graphics, Dolby Home Theater surround sound, JBL speakers, WiFi, optional Bluetooth, VeriFace facial recognition technology and OneKey Rescue system.

The Y Series also includes the Lenovo OneKey Theater software for an enhanced audio and visual experience. You can easily adjust the PC’s display as well as the sound effect settings just by pressing a button. Toggle between several applications using the Lenovo Desktop Navigator with the touch-sensitive slide bar. You can also use the multi-touch touchpad below the keyboard, enlarge or reduce the image size with your fingertips. The IdeaPad Y650 laptop reduces eye strain by automatically adjusting the brightness of the screen with the surroundings.

Lenovo has elevated the performance level of the new Y Series laptops with the latest Intel processors and DDR3 memory so that the applications respond quickly. Burn DVDs in lesser time, compress and open huge documents easily and enjoy realistic gaming.

Well, this is not all. Lenovo has updated its renowned IdeaPad S10 netbook with new multimedia and networking tools. It keeps you connected with your loved ones with Internet, messaging and even allows Skype calls. The netbook is preloaded with Lenovo’s latest LenovoSocial that lets you effortlessly connect to a resource portal and offers several options for social networking. Weighing 2.4 pound, it sports a 10.2-inch LED backlight display and you pick anyone among black, white, red, blue or pink colors.

With Lenovo’s Quick Start you can enjoy web browser, music player, photo viewer, instant messaging tools and Skype. This netbook also comes with Lenovo’s VeriFace facial recognition technology, multi-touch functionality on the trackpad and Lenovo’s OneKey Rescue System.

The starting price for the IdeaPad Y650 is suggested at $1,199 (approx Rs. 58,164), Y550 and Y450 at $829 (approx Rs. 40,215) while the S10 netbook is priced at $349 (approx Rs. 16,927).
