MSI to display notebooks, mini notebooks, servers and more at Computex

At Computex, MSI displays several devices such as X-Slim X400, X600 notebooks, U123, U200 and U120 mini notebooks, CX700, CR700, CX600, CR600 notebooks, AE2200 touch PC and more.

MSI plans to display its X-Slim notebook series which includes X400 and X600 notebooks. At less than 1 inch, both these slim notebooks bundle up full I/O ports, 16:9 theater-class LED screens and Blu-Ray support. The 14-inch X400 weighs only 1.5 kgs and comes equipped with standard slender lithium polymer battery. The X600 notebook weighs 2kg and is 15.6 inch slim. This notebook features internal independent display card that offers greater visual pleasure.

MSI has also planned the expansion of its 10-inch Wind U100 mini notebook series with the launch of the U115 Hybrid, U123, U200 and U120 mini notebooks. U123 notebook is said to be apt for viewing digital television while U120 notebook is compatible with 3.5G and WiMAX networks.

U115 Hybrid notebook supports SSD as well as HDD and comes with amazing 16 hours of battery life. This longer battery life is achieved with its unique hybrid design coupled with eco power-saving technology. The 12-inch Wind U200 notebook comes with Intel CULV platform.

The company will also raise the curtains off the CX700, CX600, CR700, CR600, and CR400 notebooks, expanding its Classic C series notebooks. The CX700, CR700, CX600, CR600 and CR400 feature 17.3”, 16”, and 14” LCD screens with 16:9 theater ratio and weigh 3kg, 2.48kg, and 2.1kg respectively.

These notebooks are said to be apt for viewing high-resolution movies. The CX700 and CX600 deploy in-built ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 independent display card (DDR2 512MB VRAM) while CR400 incorporates NVIDIA Geforce 8200MG to deliver high resolution, smooth graphics, and amazing 3D effects.

MSI has also expanded its lineup of Wind Top touchscreen PCs for all-in-one market. It has newly introduced AP1900, AE2010, AE2000, AE2200 and AE2201 PCs.

Similar to earlier launched AE1900, AP1900 PC comes with a touchscreen. AE2010 and AE2000 PCs feature classic touchscreens. The 22-inch AE2200 PC is apt for video entertainment. All the Wind Top series PCs feature user-friendly Wind Touch UI. According to CNN, the AE1900 PC utilizes mere 50W/hr power which is 80 percent less compared to other similar PCs that employ 250Watts of power.

MSI plans to present N275GTX Lightning card, manufactured on the same lines as the earlier N260GTX Lightning with APS power saving technology. The company aims to offer stability and performance with the launch of military class components along with SSC (Solid State Choke), Hi-c CAP and Solid CAP.

Furthermore, the company also plans to showcase its new R4890 Cyclone, a heat dissipation system that comes with integrated SuperPipe technology and Cyclone thermal design.

MSI has incorporated new features in their motherboards. The DrMOS design switches power phases on or off while enhancing power quality thereby providing efficient performance. The company claims to have included new overclocking technologies like OC Jumper, Easy OC Switch, OC Dial and MAX FSB to provide easy overclocking options into their P45 motherboard. In addition to these changes, MSI is about to launch their new MSI OC Genie motherboard at the exhibition. This new offering comes with user-friendly simple operations. Users can enjoy advanced maximum performance by depressing the on/off button.

MSI will be launching 1-socket and 2-socket servers, the 1U and 2U Server System Barebones, Workstation motherboard and many more servers at the Computex exhibition. All these new servers come with 80Plus certification. This ensures low power consumption with minimum carbon emissions.

Additionally, the company’s Industrial Platform Service (IPS) has decided to unveil fanless system products. This includes MS-9A16 that supports Intel Core 2 Duo, MS-9A19 single board computer and MS-9A26. MS-9A26 bundles up advanced version of the WindBOX and Intel Poulsbo XL chipset. These products are claimed to cater to the spec requirements of the industry.

The company’s member Funtoro has introduced Media on Demand (MOD) System called the Enterprise for bus solution. Enterprise comprises of only Infotainment & Service System which ensures safety during travel.
