D-Link GVC-3000 IP Videophone and GLV-540 IP Phones Announced in India

D-Link GVC-3000 D-Link India today launched the GVC-3000 I.P. Videophone in India. The new GVC-3000 is a Videophone that comes with a built in LCD screen that let you enjoy video conferencing without the need of a computer, television or high bandwidth.

It uses an advanced video compression technology and maximizes the image and audio quality within the available bandwidth as low as 128kbps. It is ideally suited for business due to features such as Conferencing and Integration with any standard SIP IPPBX.

Supporting H.264 Video Codec, the SIP-based phone shows compatibility with H.264, H.263, H.263+ and MPEG-4 formats. The available Jitter Buffer Management and perfect Lip Synchronization promise to deliver superior quality of audio and video while conversing.

Users will also get the opportunity to send and receive Video at CIF or QCIF resolution, up to 30 frames per second. The GVC-3000 also bundles E.164 Dialing, audio & video privacy options, support for dual mode (GSM & Wi-Fi).

D-Link has also launched its mid-range IP Phone, called GLV-540 that claims to possess many high-end features like the latest wideband codec for superior voice quality. It comes equipped with multi-user and m-line support, large graphical LCD display, speaker phone and headphone jack, power over Ethernet, dual Ethernet ports with auto-switching, wideband codec for high quality conference and message waiting indication.

Both the IP Phone and Video Phone sport simple-to-use interface that expects users to plug into one’s network or broadband connection.

Price of the D-Link phones is yet to be announced. The videophone is slated to hit Indian markets on 15 August.
