Pioneer BDR-202 Blu-Ray Disc Burner announced
Last week Pioneer revealed the BDR-202, a new Blu-Ray Disc Burner. The latest burner can write-once Blu-Ray discs at 4X and supports 2X burning for rewritable discs.
The drive is also capable of writing and reading all forms of blank DVD and CD media. The highest speed of writing of the drive is 2x for BD-RE, 4x for BD-R, 6x for DVD-/+RW, 12x for DVD-/+R, and 24x for CD-R/RW.
The vibrations during the writing process are ruled out by ultra DRA.
Pioneer ships this new drive with CyberLink BD to promote playing and authoring Blu-Ray discs.
The BDR-202 from Pioneer is available in Europe for around 490 euros (around 27,223.00 INR), and it is expected to launch in the US market at the price of $600 to $700 (approx. 24,150.00 INR to 28,175.00 INR).
