BenQ Revamped; will Not Concentrate on Mobile Phones Anymore

BenQ logo Taiwan-based BenQ has announced the launch of its new corporate entity, called the Qisda Corporation. It also said that the focus has now been shifted to digital projectors, computer monitors and electronics other than mobile phones.

The tie-up with Siemens did not profit the company. Thus BenQ called it quits after a loss of over 840 million.

BenQ will be the branded division of Qisda, the manufacturing side of the former BenQ. The main aim is to change BenQ within the next few years. It plans to reduce high profile advertising campaigns and other big budget programs. The targets will be on the strongest products in small budget.

That means the sponsorship of the Real Madrid football club will be cut from the BenQ publicity list.
