Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display price slashed

Apple has not only updated the MacBook Pro with Retina display with comparatively faster processors, but has also made it even more accessible by making it available in India for a starting price of Rs. 99,900. Also, the 13-inch Air can now be picked up for as low as Rs. 94,900.

The device comes in screen configurations of 13.3 inches or 15.4 inches and both versions have been tweaked with improved specifications. As for the former, its 128GB variant is the proud owner of a 2.5GHz dual core Intel Core i5 processor that ticks at a maximum speed of 3.1 GHz, with Turbo Boost. Also, this notebook can be configured with an i7 CPU of 2.9GHz or 3.6GHz with Turbo Boost. And the 256GB laptop powered by the 2.6GHz dual core i5 processor, clocks in 3.2GHz with Turbo Boost and can support a 3GHz i7 chip with Turbo Boost for up to 3.7GHz.

Next up is the 15.4-inch variant which arrives with 256GB flash memory and either a 2.4GHz, 2.7GHz or 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor which can run at 3.4GHz, 3.7GHz or 3.8GHz, respectively with Turbo Boost. Its model with 512GB of integrated memory boasts of a 2.7GHz i7 chip or 3.7GHz with Turbo Boost and can be configured to clock in a speed of up to 3.8GHz. This notebook with 2880 x 1800p native resolution features 16GB of DDR3L RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 or the Nvidia GeForce GT 650M GPU.

The company has revealed that the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display 128GB and 256GB devices now begin at Rs. 99,900 and Rs. 1,34,900 or $1,499 and $1,699 in the US, respectively. The 15.4-inch 256GB variant will set users back by Rs. 1,52,900 or $2,199, while its 512GB model carries a retail tag that reads Rs. 1,92,900 or $2,799. Those in the UK will have to shell out at least £1,249 for the basic version of the notebook.
