Acer Aspire A0722 netbook hits AT&T

Although tablets are gradually becoming the preferred option for on the go computing, AT&T has decided to offer enterprise users with a netbook, dubbed Acer Aspire A0722. The thin and lightweight device claims to combine usability with portability and features a keyboard for complete functionality.
The support for 4G network speed of the mini portable computer, allows faster web browsing and the Wi-Fi function ensures wireless access to the internet. Operating with the help of the Windows 7 OS, the device is powered by the 1GHz AMD C-50 dual core processor and 2GB RAM. This Acer netbook measuring 7.9 x 11.22 x 1 inches, dons an HD display of 11.6 inches that renders 1366 x 768p resolution.
Its improved graphics performance can be attributed to the ATI Radeon HD 6250 Graphics with DirectX 11 technology. Outfitted with a full size QWERTY keypad, the A0722 is equipped with a 0.3MP webcam to let users engage in web conferencing over the internet. Moreover, the portable PC is capable of supporting a hard drive of up to 320GB capacity and is loaded with a 60-day trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 Starter.

The Bluetooth-enabled netbook can also run AT&T’s 3G network in addition to 4G. The connectivity options are inclusive of HDMI connector as well as an external monitor jack. Besides three USB ports, it comes with a multi-in-1 card slot. Additionally, it is integrated with a microphone and can be connected to external speakers. Its 4,400mAh battery can cough up the juice for uninterrupted computing for about 6 hours.
The Acer Aspire A0722 priced at $449.99 (approx. Rs. 22,600) without an annual contract, is available for $39.99 (approx. Rs. 2,000) for AT&T customers. It requires a two-year customer agreement and monthly data plan. But the charcoal black variant of the netbook is currently out of stock.
