Acer Aspire One D270 netbook with Intel Cedar Trail launched in India

The Acer Aspire One D270 netbook which was recently disclosed in India apparently lays claims to being the first netbook running on Intel Atom’s next generation Cedar Trail processor, to enter the country. With a profile measuring less than 1-inch in thickness and a weight of 1.3kg, it appears to be quite a portable device.

This Acer Aspire device comes shaded in a riot of color options such as expresso black, aquamarine, burgundy red and seashell white. It is fueled by the Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor and features the Windows 7 Starter pack.

Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India, stated, “Over the years, our technology ethos drives us to bring compelling innovation first to market and we have maintained that with our latest value proposition, the AO D270. This Cedar Trail beauty is the perfect netbook for work and entertainment as it provides improved performance, HD content playback as well as connectivity options like HDMI port.”

“We believe this new dual core architecture will take the multimedia experience to a superior level when compared to the earlier generation of netbooks especially in multimedia space. We are positive that students and young professionals will be delighted to use this netbook and derive immense benefits,” added Rajendran.

The 10.1-inch LED backlit netbook is integrated with internal memory spelling at 2GB RAM and 320GB of hard disk capacity as well as a multi-in-one card reader. Equipped with a couple of in-built stereo speakers, it possesses GMA 3600, Ethernet, Wi-Fi compatibility and a webcam.

The Acer Aspire One D270 price is Rs. 17, 251 and it will soon be available through authorized retail stores across India.
