The Lenovo IdeaPad Y400, Y500, Z400 and Z500 price and release date information has arrived, following the unveiling of the laptop range at IFA this year. These devices are fresh additions to the company’s Idea PCs lineup and have been optimized for the forthcoming Windows 8 OS.
First off, the Y400 and Y500 claimed to be ‘multimedia powerhouses,’ are equipped with an Ultrabay that allows shuffling between more storage space, dual graphics or an extra cooling fan. While the former sports a 14-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display, the latter shows off a 15.6-inch counterpart. The laptops also tag along Dolby Home Theater v4, JBL speakers and a dual-layer backlit AccuType keyboard along with a one-piece touchpad. The gadgets are packed with Intel Core i7 processors that work in tandem with the Nvidia GeForce GT655M 2GB dual graphics. They lean on 16GB DDR3 memory as well as 1TB of HDD hoarding space.

The Z400 and Z500 are cited to be 25% leaner than regular laptops. Powered by the Intel Core i7 processors, both the devices flaunt a 14-inch and a 15.6-inch LED backlit HD widescreen, respectively. The devices are drenched in a range of colors such as dark chocolate, enamel white, peony pink and coral blue. They support Nvidia GeForce graphics and provide access to Lenovo Cloud and Intelligent Touchpad as well.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y400, Y500, Z400 and Z500 price and release date details have been revealed. The Y series can be picked up for $649 (approx. Rs. 36,285) while the Z series can be purchased for $549 (approx. Rs. 30,690). The Z500 is expected to be made available this month, while the Y400 and Y500 will hit stores in October. The Z400 will commence shipping in November.
