The 13.1-inch Vaio Display Premium with a resolution of 1600 x 900p is anti-reflective to produce images with vibrant colors. Powered by Intel Core i7 processors and DDR3 SDRAM, it also employs SSD RAID storage of up to 256GB. The Windows 7 Professional operating system starts in half the time with the help of Quick Boot.
The slim Sony Vaio Z series notebook has a power life of 7 hours which can be doubled with the help of an optional lithium polymer sheet battery which can be charged from the PC itself and attached without switching the PC off. The device is also integrated with an HD webcam with Exmor technology. Some models of the series are integrated with Vaio ‘everywair’ 3G WWAN to connect through the mobile broadband operator.
The Power Media Dock can be attached to the notebook via a cable for additional connectivity options and superior graphics through AMD Radeon HD graphics. This monolithic expansion module with the help of Light Peak, transfers data at a faster rate and is capable of connecting up to three additional displays using HDMI. The dock also features optical drive with either Blu-ray disc or SuperMulti combo drive.
