More editions from Samsung: N220, N230 and Upgraded R530-11N and B30-11B Netbooks
We reported about Samsung bringing in the R40 and R540 and upgrading R530-11 series of laptops earlier today. Now, the company has also revealed plans to introduce the N220 and N230 as well as the upgraded N150-11BL and NB30-11B netbooks.
All the netbooks are powered by the Intel Atom N450 processor and are pre-loaded with the Windows 7 Starter OS. The internal DDR2 storage capacity of the devices amount up to 1GB. The gadgets offer a 250GB HDD operating with a speed of 5400RPM. Each of the netbooks is fitted with a 10.1” WSVGA display and integrates an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.
Users are provided with a built-in 0.3MP camera and two 1.5W stereo speakers. The netbooks offer three USB 2.0 ports and wireless connectivity through an 802.11bg/n LAN and a wired Ethernet LAN with a speed of 10/100 MB/s. The devices are fitted with a full size 93% island-style keyboard and a large multi-gesture touchpad too.
The N220 netbook weighs about 2.9lbs and flaunts a battery life of about 10 hours. The chassis of this device exhibits a Pointillist pattern colored in a polished green gradated color with chrome accents. The battery of the black colored, ultra-thin N230 variant is expected to last up to 7 hours and its weight amounts to approximately 2.2lbs.
The upgraded version N150-11BL netbook weighs about 2.7lbs and is fitted with a battery that lasts for up to 10 hours. This fingerprint resistant device is available in a matte black texture with red accents. The NB30-11B comes with a battery life of up to 9.5 hours and weighs around 2.7lbs. The gadget is crafted to resist bumps and spills and can be purchased in a blue shade.
Samsung’s N230 netbook is expected to hit markets from July this year. This offering can be purchased for $399 (approx. Rs. 18,370). The N220 series along with the upgraded N150-11BL and NB30-11B will be available form this month through the company’s resellers. The N220 is priced at about $369 (approx. Rs. 16,990) whereas the N150-11BL and NB30-11B cost $349 (approx. Rs. 16,070) and $359 (approx. Rs. 16,530), respectively.
