Handheld US has just crafted an innovative solution for all professionals with a sportsman’s heart, the new Algiz XRW rugged notebook.

Fitted with a sturdy 10.1-inch widescreen, the athletic notebook features sunlight-readable MaxView screen technology to conveniently view in bright light surroundings. This offering employs a 2GHz Intel Atom processor which enables multitasking and flawless working with demanding applications. With a 64GB solid state disk, the tough device also equips a 2GB of DDR2 RAM.

Weighing just 1.5kg, the lightweight Algiz XRW is filled to the brim with Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS. Business users can videoconference with its built-in 2MP autofocus camera and optional 3G modem with high-speed GSM/UMTS/EVDO data transmission. This Gobi 2000 technology ready notebook allows owners to choose their choice of wireless frequency around the globe.

Boasting about its endurance, the device incorporated IP65 rating certified keyboard and mouse-touchpad which protect against sand, dust and water. These input devices are sealed and illuminated by two LED lights. Moreover, the notebook is said to have passed MIL-STD-810F ruggedness testing, including drop tests from 1.2 meters plus flaunts extreme temperature resistance from -21°C to 70°C. Besides, it renders 8 hours of battery life with a single charge of its 57.6Wh battery.

The Algiz XRW is slated to be displayed at trade shows worldwide in the coming months. Users can place their order immediately, though its first customer shipping is anticipated to begin in December.
