Christen a gadget with a fancy name and it might sound more exciting than it actually is. Not many people may agree with this statement if it was a description of the gScreen SpaceBook 17 notebook. This dual screen notebook flaunts two identical screens and a full-size keyboard all built into a single unit.

The gizmo has two 17.3” LED-backlit displays and runs Microsoft’s Windows 7 Professional OS. It holds a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 processor and features a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS 150M GPU. The integrated SATA HDD offers memory capacities of 320GB – 500GB and RAM is offered in 4GB DDR3 capacity. Its memory card slot accommodates MMC/SD/MS/MS Pro cards.

The 9-cell Li-ion battery-powered notebook boasts of an optical dual layer/super multi DVD writer and 6-in-1 media card reader. It possesses in-built 1.5W speakers and extends Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity. The chassis hosts 3 USB ports, and one terminal each for HDMI, IEEE Firewire, eSATA (+USB), RJ45 LAN, RJ11 modem connector, DC-in, headphone out and mic-in.

The gScreen SpaceBook 17 is bundled in with a support CD, power cord, AC adapter and battery pack and comes backed by a year-log warranty. It will initially be launched through the company’s Amazon Global Channel across the U.S. Other resellers comprise of Buy.com, Tigerdirect.com and Newegg .com. The price tagged to this laptop is under wraps for now.
