LG X20 netbook passes through FCC hands

LG X20 Netbook

Call them cheaper and most portable versions of the laptop – it looks like netbooks are here to stay even if they can’t function as primary PCs. LG’s X20 netbook that was first espied at the CES this year has finally hit the FCC as indicated by official reports and images from the latter’s website, according to Wireless Goodness.

The sleek netbook seems to run Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system and house a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor at its core. Visuals will come courtesy of Intel 3150 GMA graphics and 2GB of RAM will be offered by the device. For now, it is expected to integrate a 2.5” HDD that accommodates 250GB of storage capacity.

LG’s X20 sports a 10.1” 1366 x 768 TFT LCD screen and is cited to tip the scale at around 1.2kg. It’s chassis is calculated to measure at approximately 6.7” x 11” and the keyboard appears to display chiclet-like keys with a trackpad. The netbook is powered by a 4-cell battery, extends a 1.3MP webcam, HSPA, 3G and 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity.

Apart from X20, the various model numbers for this netbook have been stated as X200, XB200, XD200 and XV200. Though there is no clear mention of pricing or the launch date, LG’s X20 seems slated for release across the U.S., Europe, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, China and Korea.
