Gigabyte T1028X Netbook now available at Amazon
Gigabyte had introduced its T1028X TouchNote netbook few months back and the computing device is now retailed via Amazon.
According to Techfresh, the netbook is loaded with an Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 2.5-inch 9.5mm 5400rpm 250GB SATA hard drive and a 1GB DDR2 RAM. The Windows 7 powered device sports 10.1-inch Touch TFT-LCD WXGA display. The dimensions of this compact netbook are 265mm x 214mm x 41.4mm. The TouchNote is equipped with Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset + ICH7M.
With 6 cells 4500mAh Li-ion battery pack, the TouchNote weighs about 1.48 kgs. The netbook sports 1.3 megapixel webcam as well as 4-in-1 card reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro). The T1028X is inclusive of embedded HSDPA support, two 1.5 watt speakers, USB(2.0) x 3, mic-in, earphone-out and D-Sub. The netbook supports Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR, LAN Ethernet 10/100, Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n and optional 802.16 WiMAX, for enhanced connectivity features.
Reportedly, the Gigabyte netbook can be purchased for $668 (approx. Rs. 31,042). Apparently, a 3G version of the Gigabyte T1028X TouchNote is also available for $788 (approx. Rs. 36,615).
