MSI Wind12 U230 Notebook

The Wind12 U Series of MSI was recently embellished with the latest U230 notebook. With the power-saving dual core processor architecture coupled with other typical functionalities of the Wind12 U series, this notebook seems to have an edge over other such devices in the market.

The notebook boasts of 12.1-inch 1366 x 768 HD ready LCD display. Packing 3 cells and weighing just about 1.3 kgs, the MSI U230 notebook offers the portability similar to a netbook. With AMD’s second generation ultra-thin platform sporting a dual-core processor, it delivers a processing performance that is said to be higher than traditional lightweight notebooks.

Further, ECO Engine technology enables users to select power management modes based on specific power requirements. The five modes include gaming, movie, presentation, document, and turbo battery and each offers flexible battery usage to extend battery endurance. The notebook boots Windows 7 Home Premium and incorporates 160GB/250GB/320GB SATA HDD.

The U230 packages 4-in-1 card reader, SD/MMC/MS/XD, 1.3 megapixel webcam and measures about 297mm X 190mm X 24-31mm. The MSI notebook sports USB2.0 port X 3, headphone output X 1, mic-in port X 1, graphics card output X 1, LAN Port X 1 as well as HDMI X 1. The Wind12 U series features built-in 10/100/1000 LAN, built-in 802.11b/g/n WLAN card and optional Bluetooth V2.0 EDR.

    Wait, so is the u 230 considered a notebook or netbook? i know that MSI released a 12 - 13" netbook. Regardless, it looks pretty cool. Any word on what cell battery or how long the battery life will last?
