Viewsonic unveils new nettops, netbooks and media players
Viewsonic has now taken a few steps ahead with the launch of their new line of nettops, netbooks, media PCs and media players, reports Engadget. The models introduced by the company include VOT 120/121, VOT 130/132 and VOT 530/550 nettops, VNB 100/101 netbooks and VPD 400/500 media players.
The Viewsonic VOT 130 nettop includes Atom N270 CPU, GMA950 graphics, up to 2GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. The next model in the netbook series namely the VOT 132 has a dual core Atom 330 CPU and Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics. It supports up to 3GB of RAM and has a 250GB hard drive, as well as HDMI output. Both the models have 6 USB ports, DVI, Ethernet, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.
The Viewsonic VOT 120 nettop includes Atom N270 CPU and an eSATA port, while the VOT 121 comes with 1.3GHz CULV SU2700 processors and a multi-format card reader. Both the models comprise of GS40 graphics, up to 2GB of RAM and 160GB HDD. They adorn a design which is used for hanging off the back of a flatscreen monitor.
The final range of nettops includes the VOT 530 and VOT 550. Both models use Intel’s 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo CPU with up to 4GB of RAM and GMA 4500MHD graphics. They have 320GB HDD and are intended for HTPC use. With an optional Blu-ray and an optional media center remote they also include Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1.
The company’s two new netbooks the VNB 100 and VNB 101 both, have 10.2 inch, 102 x 600 pixel displays. With up to 2GB of RAM and160GB hard drives the models comprise of 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. The VNB 100 has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU while the VNB 101 has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor.
Lastly, the media players introduced by the company dubbed as the VPD 400 and VPD 500 PMPs are 4.3 and 5-inch respectively. The 800 x 480 media players sport either 8GB or 16GB storage. They also include a microSD card slot and a TV out port.
The ViewSonic VOT 130 and VOT 132 will be available for a price of $333 (approx Rs. 16,017) and $514 (approx Rs 24,723) respectively. The VOT 120 and VOT 121 are priced at $301 (approx. Rs 14,497) and $423 (approx. Rs 20,385) respectively. The VOT 530 is priced at $821(approx.Rs 39,566) and VOT 550 is priced at $1,123 (approx. Rs. 54,120) while the price for the VPD 400 and VPD 500 is not yet known. The availability for all the ViewSonic models is not yet known.
