MSI to unveil X-Slim X340 and X600 Ultra-light Notebooks at the CeBIT

MSI logo MSI is all geared up to roll out new ultra-light notebooks under the X-Slim family, namely the X340 and X600 at the CeBIT 2009, according to Slashgear.

While the 15.6-inch X-Slim X600 is said to be the big brother of the X-Slim X360, the 13.4-inch X-Slim X340 is believed to be an enhanced version of the X320.

Apparently, both the X-Slim series of ultra-portable notebooks are powered by the Intel Centrino 2 platform and weighs approximately 2kg. The two models feature a 16:9 widescreen display, three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, VGA and HDMI outputs as well as wired Ethernet.

Moreover, the X-Slim notebooks also come embedded with audio in/out and a memory card slot. However, nothing is mentioned about the incorporation of the Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi b/g connections.

The MSI X-Slim X340 and X-600 laptops are expected to come in the limelight at the CeBIT 2009. The X340 will hit the US market for a price range of $699-$999 (approx. Rs. 34,870 – Rs. 49,840), whereas the MSI X-Slim X600 carries no details on the pricing and availability.
