Acer Aspire Timeline laptop coming to Japan

The Acer Aspire Timeline laptop will soon enter the competitive Japanese market. The laptop is available in three display sizes namely 13.3”, 14” and 15.6” with Acer’s CineCrystal LED-backlight displays.

The company promises that these slim laptops meet the needs of demanding users. The display comes with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The Timeline series comes with support for Intel Centrino 2 / Centrino processor. These laptops run on Windows Vista Home Premium operating system and support up to 500GB hard disk drive or 80GB SSD.

The other specifications of the laptops include 8X DVD-Super Multi drive and second Generation Dolby Sound Room audio enhancement.

The connectivity features include 5-in-1 card reader that supports SD, MMC, MS, MS PRO and xD cards and three USB 2.0 ports. The devices feature HDMI, External display (VGA) and ports for headphone and speakers.

The Acer Aspire Timeline is designed to meet the ACPI 3.0 CPU power management standard. Powered by 62.16 W 5600 mAh 6-cell Li-ion battery, these laptops support standby and hibernation power-saving modes.

The Acer Aspire Timeline laptops are already available in USA, China and Europe; they will be available in Japan for a starting price of 90,000 Yen (approx Rs.44, 713).
