Onkyo releases Sotec DC204A3 netbook in Japan
Onkyo releases Sotec DC204A3, a new inclusion in its netbook series in Japan, reports Slashgear. This netbook is supposedly an attempt by the company to get a competitive advantage over others. But to what extent this attempt will be successful is yet to be disclosed.
This netbook has the capable of handling various tasks efficiently. The device is powered by an Intel Atom processor. The Intel 945GSE Express chipset claims to provide superior quality graphics.
The device comes embedded with Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. It also has a D-SUB port and in-built webcam for video conference calls. The 1GB RAM perfectly complements the processor to provide smooth functioning.
The Sotec DC204A3 has a 10.1 inch LCD display which has a resolution of 1024 x 600. The memory for the device is provided by a 32GB solid state drive which replaces the need for hard drive.
The Onkyo Sotec DC204A3 is presently available in Japan with a price tag of $532 (approx Rs.25, 120). There is still no word on the pricing and availability of the device in other countries.
