MainGear eX-L 18 gaming notebook unleashed

MainGear has introduced the eX-L 18 gaming notebook. The company terms it to be the world’s most powerful gaming notebook. The notebook comes equipped with dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M graphics processing units (GPUs) which is claimed to be the fastest GPU ever. This GPU incorporates Nvidia’s SLI technology.
The eX-L 18 supports 1080p HD resolution and claims to bring games and multimedia content to life. It is said to incorporate Intel Core2 mobile processor that delivers multi-core performance. The dual channel DDR3 memory further enhances the performance of the processor.
“MainGear has equipped the eX-L 18 with the world’s fastest notebook graphics solution. With Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M GPUs, MainGear’s customers will experience breathtaking in gaming physics from titles such as Terminator Salvation or Darkest of Days and are ready for GPU computing applications such as Badaboom, vReveal and Arcsoft SimHD,” said Rene Hass, General Manager of the notebook business unit at Nvidia.
Thanks to the Nvidia PhysX technology, the gaming effects are almost realistic. The notebook incorporates drivers from Nvidia.com. The Nvidia Cuda technology offers the best performance during compute-intensive tasks like video transcoding and photo editing. It claims to provide up to 10x faster performance compared to traditional CPUs. The Nvidia PureVideo HD technology extends the battery life and also offers sharp images and vibrant colors.
The eX-L 18 provides users the option to select three 2.5″ SATA drives or SSD drives configurable in RAID formations. The other notable features of the eX-L 18 notebook include 3 MP video camera, eSATA, HDMI, USB 2.0, and FireWire.
The MainGear eX-L 18 gaming notebook is now available for a base price of $2,999 (approx. Rs. 1,44,670).
