Fujitsu intros Green Power Certified FMV-BIBLO LOOX U/C50N Eco notebook

FMV-BIBLO LOOX U/C50N Eco Notebook Fujitsu has announced the release of its green power certified notebook PC. This device entitled FMV-BIBLO LOOX U/C50N Eco claims to be the first to participate in Japan’s Green Power Certification System (certification stating that the energy used by the device is Green Energy).

Fujitsu is said to purchase a Green Power Certificate on the sale of every notebook, equal to the total electricity consumed by the PC during its operating life. Thus, the electricity consumed by the PC users will be termed as Green Energy (i.e. generated from renewable sources). The use of this laptop is said to result in zero net CO2 emission.

The funds utilized in purchasing Green power Certificates will help to sustain generation of green power. This is said to enable Fujitsu to use energy efficiently and adopt a wider use of renewable energy.

The green policy is being promoted by the Fujitsu Group to reduce the burden of its customers on the environmental resources. Being a part of this initiative, the product is designed to meet the current specifications of the International Energy Star Program as well as the new standards which will be effective from July 1.

The product boasts of resulting only in approx 18kg of CO2 emission throughout its lifetime. The lid of this eco friendly notebook PC flaunts an original planet themed design to give it a stylish look.

This notebook PC priced tagged JPY 113, 800 (Rs.58, 068 approx) is available on Fujitsu’s online store.
