Dell Adamo laptop price slashed

Dell has slashed the price of the Dell Adamo laptop by $500. According to Cnet, 13.4-inch Dell Adamo is available in two choices, either with 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor or with 128GB SSD and 2.13 GHz processor.
It is speculated that Dell has slashed the prices to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air. Inspite of this, the MacBook Air has maintained its position as a preferred deal. Dell may have to further reduce the prices to compete with the MacBook.
The Dell Adamo incorporates features like backlit keyboard, 16:9 high definition glass display, Intel X4500 graphics and 2GB DDR3 memory. The connectivity features of the laptop include draft-Wireless N, Bluetooth 2.1, two USB ports, USB/eSATA combo port, display port and RJ-45 port. The laptop runs on Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and delivers a battery life of approximately 5 hours.
At present the Dell Adamo with 1.2GHz Core2 Duo processor will be made available for a price of $1,499 (approx. Rs.72,775) while the Dell Adamo with 128GB SSD and 2.13 GHz processor comes with a price tag of $2,299 (approx. Rs. 1,11,616).
