MSI X-Slim X340 notebook officially released

Announced earlier, MSI’s brand new notebook namely the X-Slim X340 is now all set to hit markets in the US. According to the company, this laptop is the world’s first lightweight notebook incorporating the CULV platform from Intel. The device is ultra-slim and light as it measures 19.8mm at its thickest point and weighs just 1.3kg.
The X340 from MSI sports a 13 inch high quality LED display monitor with a golden ratio of 16:9, the same ratio used by theatre screens. Movie buffs will enjoy watching their favorite flicks on this laptop as they can be viewed from any angle and deliver excellent quality pictures.
The notebook works efficiently with Windows Vista and is able to load different types of resource-demanding application software at a quick pace. MSI aims at providing its customers with a notebook that not only looks elegant but also delivers the high performance expected by users.
Along with the Intel CULV platform, this laptop is also powered by Intel SU3500 CULV processor and uses only 5.5w of power. A light 4-cell Li-polymer battery and fully functional I/O support is used in this notebook. The X-Slim has two built-in 2.0 USB ports, audio output, D-Sub Video Out, LAN port and a card reader. The microphone jack also serves as a second audio output. The notebook also supports WiMAX.
The X-Slim X340 from MSI will be available to customers from this month. However there are no details on the exact pricing and availability of the product.
