Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D enabled laptop now official

The 3D technology is rapidly gaining popularity. Owing to this trend, Acer has introduced the Aspire 5738DG. This innovative notebook incorporates 3D technology. The highlight of the notebook is its seamless functionality that allows users to easily switch from 2D to 3D mode.
Featuring a Gemstone design, the Acer notebook incorporates a 15.6-inch screen. This Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit display is integrated with TriDef 3D technology. The TriDef solution includes a simple and intuitive interface that eliminates the need for a special graphics card to view 3D multimedia content. The 5738DG also bundles up a pair of 3D polarizer eyeglasses, which filter 2D images to 3D. The Acer Aspire 5738DG measures 15.1” x 9.9” x 1.5” and tips the scale at around 6.16lbs.
“This holiday season, we are seeing 3D content become more prevalent in popular films and games,” said Ray Sawall, senior manager of product marketing for Acer America. “The new Acer Aspire 5738DG notebook enables consumers to enjoy exciting new 3D entertainment on a mobile PC that can also replicate a 3D experience from standard 2D content. This product upholds Acer’s strong tradition of combining innovation with value by delivering leading-edge technology at an affordable price that makes it accessible to the average consumer.”
Powered by Intel’s Core2 Duo T6600 processor, the notebook comes embedded with 4GB DDR2 RAM and 320GB SATA hard drive. The Multi-gesture touchpad further enhances its appeal. The notebook will incorporate Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. The incorporated features include multi-in-1 Digital Media card reader, Acer Crystal Eye webcam, four USB 2.0 ports, 6-cell Li-ion battery and 8X DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive.
The Acer Aspire 5738DG notebook will be made available this week in the US and is expected to retail for around $779.99 (approx. Rs. 36,360).
