Samsung and Yota unveil NC10 4G netbook in Russia
The latest buzz talks about Samsung’s first 4G-mini netbook that is launched in Russia. Samsung has teamed up with Yota to offer the 4G version of its NC10 netbook in the Russian market. This modified Samsung NC10 netbook supports advanced Mobile WiMAX technology.
This light, compact device bundles up quality features at an affordable price. All the Russian users can now utilize the high-speed Yota network that supports up to 10MB/s of speed. Weighing about 1.33kg, its battery life is about 9 hours 40 minutes.
This netbook incorporates the SuperBright technology that enables its 10.2-inch WSVGA widescreen display to deliver up to 1024 x 600 resolution. Its Duracase technology ensures a durable scratch resistant case while the PC style ergonomic keyboard comes with nano-sized silver ion powder coating that ensures a hygienic keyboard by preventing the breeding bacteria.
“This modification of our netbook is a historically first notebook of such class in Russia with a built-in Mobile WiMAX module. Samsung aims to dip into tomorrow, to shape new trends and to build a convenient future. Yota has already brought this future to Moscow and St. Petersburg, and soon will deliver it to other Russian cities. And the 4G netbook NC10 will be the simplest and the most affordable key to this future,” commented Sang Hong Lim, marketing director at Samsung Electronics Rus.
Furthermore, it is powered by Intel Atom processor, the smallest and lowest power processor that ensures efficient performance. The netbook also features 160GB hard drive, vast network capabilities like Atheros 802.11b/g, 10/100 Ethernet LAN and Bluetooth, a 3-in-1 multimedia card slot, VGA output, microphone-in, headphone-out and 3 USB ports, a built-in Mobile WiMAX module and runs on Windows XP Home OS.
The Samsung NC10 4G netbook is priced at 19,990 RUB and will be available starting March 23.
