MSI intros the new 12.1′ Wind12 U200
MSI has introduced yet another 12.1-inch notebook dubbed MSI Wind12 U200 notebook. This new addition to the MSI Wind family competes in volume and weight with the 10-inch notebooks available in the market. The highlight of this notebook is the glittering crystal frameless screen that promises to provide enhanced performance.
The new MSI notebook features a 12.1-inch display that flaunts a 366 x 768 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. This crystal frameless widescreen display with LED backlighting claims to provide improved performance. Weighing a modest 1.4kg, the MSI Wind12 is extremely small and easily portable. The Smooth and graceful appearance of this notebook further adds to its appeal.
The specifications of this notebook include Intel’s ULV SU3500 processor, GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset, 1.3-megapixel webcam and up to 4GB RAM. The device offers support for HDMI output, 4-in-1 memory card reader and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. Users can choose between 160GB, 250GB and 320GB, 2.5” SATA hard drives. The device measures only 297mm x 190mm x 24.5mm. Users can also opt for an external hard drive.
The MSI Wind12 U200 is an Energy Star certified notebook that features ECO Intelligent Battery Solutions. The ECO Turbo Battery mode of this notebook delivers approximately 6.5 hours of usage time. The Wind12 also incorporates MSI’s independently developed face recognition software. This software protects the data via its three functions called the Easyface Manager, Easyface Autolocker, and Easyface Logon.
Well, the specifications of this new notebook are quite interesting but there is no official word on the pricing and the availability. The question in our minds right now is how much will users shell out for this new baby.
