Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Laptop gets priced
Many Eee PC models are out in the market and attract a host of customers, ranging from professional travelers to home users. Recently, the company unveiled one more Eee PC – the Seashell – however, the price and the availability details were missing. Apparently, the missing part is now declared by the company.
Slashgear, in its report, stated that Asus has announced the U.S. price and availability date of the newly-launched Eee PC 1008HA Seashell. The product, which was initially glimpsed at CeBIT in March, is said to be available for pre-orders from May 18, 2009 for an estimated price of $429 (approx. Rs. 20,665).
Measuring just 1-inch thick and weighing 1.1kg, the uber-skinny Asus Eee PC 1008HA is offered to consumers with the Intel Atom N280 processor running at 1.66GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard-drive and a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit display. The system also bundles a 1.3-megapixel camera, a digital-array microphone and Windows XP Home operating system.
Users will also get Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and two USB 2.0 ports along with an Ethernet port, a two-in-one card reader, a mini-VGA port sans a standard VGA port. Additionally, audio in/out and a pull-out adapter hidden in the 1008HA are also available.
Recollecting the date; the pre-order starts today! But, the pricing and release date of the attention-seeker Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell are not yet officially announced.
