MSI reveals specs of the X-Slim X400 and X600 notebooks

We had earlier reported about the MSI X-Slim Series notebooks. Well, according to I4U, MSI revealed some more specs of the X-Slim X400 and X600 notebooks. These notebooks not only improvise on the 13-inch X340 but also prove to be an alternative to systems like Macbook Air.

The 14-inch X400 and the 15-inch X600 are less than an inch thick and weigh around 1.5 kg and 2.1 kg respectively. The Intel Ultra-Low Voltage processor which these notebooks incorporate delivers better performance and a longer battery life at relatively lower cost.

The X400 includes 8-cell battery whereas the X600 comes equipped with an optional 9-cell battery. The X400 will feature GMA 4500 video while the X600 will use an unnamed dedicated graphics chipset for better graphics.

These notebooks include a host of features like 16:9 backlit LCD screens, I/O ports and support for Blu-ray drives. MSI maintains the slim figure of these notebooks by excluding the optical drives. These optical drives will have to be connected externally.

The pricing and availability details of the MSI X400 and X600 are still under wraps.
