MSI reveals CR400 classic series notebook

MSI reveals the first in its Classic series of notebooks dubbed CR400. Apart from the 14-inch CR400, the series includes the 16-inch CX600 and CR600, and the 17.3-inch CX700 and CR700. All the notebooks in this series are said to follow MSI’s philosophy of insisting on the best. But presently only the specifications of the CR400 have been revealed by the company.
The CR400 features a uni-body design with 45 degree angled edges. This design claims to enhance the visual and tactile appeal of the product. The CR400 notebook incorporates MSI’s CFM (Color Film Print) technology that gives it a crystalline radiance.
The large 14-inch display and the latest GeForce 8200MG graphics processing unit (GPU) perfectly complement each other to deliver a high-resolution display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The energy-saving LED backlight is said to extend the battery life. Powered by a 6-cell large-capacity battery, this notebook weighs only 2 kg. The lightweight of the notebook renders it completely portable.
Moreover, MSI’s unique EDS (Ergonomic De-Stress) technology used in the keyboard is said to reduce the stress on the fingers while typing. The keyboard conveniently switches between the three power saving ECO, Bluetooth and Wireless modes. It also incorporates special function keys for controlling brightness and volume. These keys have been integrated with the 4-way scroll button for easier access.
The other specifications of the CR400 include built-in high-resolution webcam, microphone, 802.11 b/g/n high-speed WLAN and Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR module. The ECO Engine technology used with these notebooks provides users with entertainment, presentation, word processing and energy-saving modes to choose from.
The pricing and availability details of the MSI classic series CR400 are still under wraps.
