Gigabyte T1028X Touchnote

Just a few months back, Gigabyte launched the 1028M netbook and now the company has unveiled the T1028X TouchNote netbook. This latest innovation from Gigabyte packages enhanced features compared to its predecessor.

The netbook incorporates a 10.1-inch Touch TFT-LCD WSVGA that offers 1366 x 768 resolution and comes with LED backlit. The device is driven by 1.66GHz Intel Atom Processor N280. It is equipped with Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset+ ICH7M. The T1028X also bundles up a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a multi-touch mouse pad.

The Gigabyte netbook comes with 2.5-inch 9.5mm SATA HDD that provides storage capacity of 160GB and offers 5400rpm. The Touchnote operates on Genuine Windows XP Home edition. It is embedded with HSDPA support. The netbook packages three USB(2.0), mic-in, earphone-out, D-Sub, RJ45, Express Card and 4-in-1 card reader.

The Gigabyte netbook supports Ethernet 10/100BASE-T and 802.11b/g/n, 802.16 WiMAX. It is equipped with 6 cells Li-Ion 7650mAh battery which offers 6.5 hours battery life. The dimensions of the device are 265mm x 214mm x 41.4mm and it weighs around 1.48 kgs. The T1028X is built with V2.1 Bluetooth and two 1.5 watts speakers.

The T1028X TouchNote is expected to be priced around $877(approx. Rs. 42,008).
