Apple has announced the introduction of its new revamped 17-inch MacBook Pro that features a durable and stunning precision aluminum unibody enclosure and a revolutionary battery.
The integrated 95WHr lithium polymer battery, which is based on Adaptive Charging technology, is said to deliver eight hours of operation and 1,000 recharges, offering over three times the lifespan as compared to the conventional notebook batteries.
The new 17-inch MacBook Pro is developed by means of highly recyclable materials, eliminating the use of harmful toxins found in existing computers. The laptop also meets stringent Energy Star 4.0 requirements. It also attains the tag of being the world’s thinnest and lighest 17-inch notebook with just 0.98-inches of thinness and 6.6 pounds.
Besides, its features include a high resolution ultra-thin, widescreen glossy LED-backlit display (1920 x 1200pixels) with a large glass Multi-Touch trackpad, state-of-the-art NVIDIA graphics and the latest generation 2.93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors.
Some of the other features include up to 8GB DDR3 main memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor and the powerful NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics processor with 512MB GDDR3 video memory, Mini DisplayPort for video output.

Expected to ship by late January, the new enhanced 17-inch Apple MacBook Pro carries a price tag of $2,799 (approx. Rs. 1,35,840).
