Dell Latitude 2100 netbook introduced in India
Dell has launched the Latitude 2100 netbook in the Indian market. This machine is said to be specifically designed for students and professionals. The netbook is also offered by the company in a touchscreen version.
The rubberized design of the Latitude makes the device sturdy. The device features Intel Atom N270 processor and Intel 945 GS Express for better performance. The optional DVD+/-RW can be attached to the netbook via a USB port.
Weighing approximately 1.32kg, the Dell Latitude 2100 is highly portable. The company provides users an option to choose either a three-cell or a six-cell lithium ion battery. The hard disk drive that the netbook features can be replaced by solid state drive for added convenience.
Additionally, the Latitude 2100 also incorporates three-in-one memory card reader and VGA port for connectivity. The netbook supports varying operating systems like Windows XP Home, Windows Vista Home Basic and Linux Ubuntu version 8.10. Apparently, the dell netbook also features Ethernet connectivity.
The Dell Latitude 2100 is now available in India in five color options. The netbook will be available for a starting price of Rs. 23,000.
