Asus Eee PC E1004DN with DVD Burner all set for April launch?

Asus Eee PC E1004DN Rumors seem to have surrounded the new Asus Eee PC, called the E1004DN, that will make its presence in the market by mid-April.

Initially glimpsed at CES this year, the Asus Eee PC E1004DN is believed to be the first Eee PC to come inherent with an optical disc drive (ODD). The news is backed by Digitimes report based on the sources at retail channels.

According to grapevine, the speculated 10-inch computing device is powered by an Intel Atom N280 CPU and features Intel’s HD video-capable GN40 chipset, a 120GB hard drive, PC-unique DVD burner, an ExpressCard slot, three USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an 8-in-1 card reader.

Price wise, the Asus Eee PC E1004DN is rumored to cost NT$18,000-20,000 (US$531-590). It is reported to release in Taiwan, which is the company’s home market. However, all these details are just rumors and we expect the leaked information to become official very soon.
