New IdeaPad laptops and IdeaCentre desktops uncloaked by Lenovo

To enhance the quality, standard and usability of laptops in general, Lenovo has increased their lineup of new IdeaPad laptops namely U150, U550 and Y550P and IdeaCentre desktops namely B500, K300 and H230.

Innovative features combined with stylish designs make the new Idea PCs all the more desirable. The devices are facilitated by the ultra low power Intel Core processor family of products. Enhanced performance is aided by the Intel Core i7 processor. These new products are dispatched with Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. The laptops also encompass the exclusive Lenovo Enhanced Experience for Windows 7. It is claimed to be the outcome of joint engineering by Lenovo in partnership with Microsoft to offer users with quicker PC boot and shutdown, better multimedia features and simple maintenance tools.

The Y550P is Lenovo’s first laptop to utilize the new Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology that mechanically accelerates the processor when the PC requires additional performance. This laptop also comes with potent Nvidia discrete graphics, a 15.6-inch HD widescreen display, and Dolby Home Theater surround sound. The laptop boasts of an exclusive Lenovo tools like SlideNav which is a touch-sensitive bar above the keyboard for easier and faster navigation of programs, documents and shortcuts or quicker changing of desktop wallpapers.

The U150 comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The device incorporates upto 8GB DDR3 memory. The laptop features a 11.6″ HD widescreen display and long battery life. The Active Protection System on the U150 assists in guarding the hard drive if the laptop is dropped or knocked over. A latest version of OneKey Rescue System, Version 7.0, conducts data backups up to twice as quick and encompasses more powerful antivirus scanning that can even be run prior to loading the operating system.

The IdeaPad U550 laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo processor features a 15.6″ widescreen HD display. Switchable graphics allows users to turn their detached graphics card on and off by a button to control PC battery life in a better way. Dolby Sound Room surround-sound by means of the laptop’s huge, incorporated speakers brings presentations alive and enhances gaming and movie watching experience. The Ambient Light Sensor mechanically adjusts screen brightness based on light conditions, thereby decreasing the strain on the eyes. The incorporated fingerprint reader and VeriFace facial recognition software on the U550 offer further user-friendliness when logging onto the PC.

The desktop boasts of a 4-in-1 remote control that performs as a motion-drive games controller, VOIP handset, air mouse and media remote. More exclusive Lenovo features on the B500 comprise of CamSuite, a tool that assists to keep users in the center of the Web camera’s focus and inserts special effects to live video feeds.

The IdeaCentre K300 along with the Intel Core 2 Quad processor includes high-performance RAID configured hard drives for additional storage space. The Lenovo H230 boasts of a variety of HDD and DDR3 memory configurations. The IdeaPad U350 laptop and S10-2 netbook comes with various new textures and vibrant patterns. The U350 features trendy, striking cover textures like brown lizard print, white lamb skin print and red light weave. Via the latest PC cover-painting technology, S10-2 is now available in new colorful designs like pop art, violet floral, red floral, green floral, phoenix, garden, sailing and origami.

IdeaPad Y550P, IdeaPad U150 and IdeaPad U550 laptops can be purchased for $1,149 (approx Rs 54,204), $585 (approx Rs. 27,597) and $650 (approx Rs 30,663) respectively. The IdeaCentre B500 comes for $649 (approx Rs 30,616). The starting price of IdeaCentre K300 desktop is $499 (approx Rs. 23,540) while the starting price of Lenovo H230 is $449 (approx Rs. 21,181).
