Toshiba introduces its new DynaBook NX laptop in the Japanese market.

The 12.1-inch laptop comes in two storage configurations, allowing users to choose from a 128GB solid-state drive and conventional 160GB hard-disk. Powered by Intel’s 45nm, ultra-low voltage 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor, the SSD-equipped DynaBook NX delivers a battery life of 11.5 hours and the HDD version laptop offers a working period of 10.5 hours.

Besides, the latest laptop incorporates LED-backlit display that offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset for HD movie playback, up to 2 GB of standard memory that can be extended to 3 GB and a DVD multi-drive.

Supporting Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, the DynaBook NX notebook features Microsoft Office Personal 2007 and PowerPoint 2007. It also comes with a Gigabit Ethernet connection or 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi module, three USB ports, including eSATA port, a VGA output and Type2 PC Card slot and an SD card slot.

Weighing over 3lbs, the Dynabook NX comes in three different and vibrant shades such as pink, white and black.

Expected to reach the Japanese market in October, the Toshiba DynaBook NX notebook will carry a price tag of $1,900 (approx. Rs. 88,274) for the HDD model and $2,830 (approx. Rs. 131,481) for the SSD version.
