Dell has announced the launch of its Blu-ray laptop which will have a price tag of under a $1,000. The new Inspiron 1525 laptop with optional Blu-ray disc playback will carry prices starting at $879.
The Blu-ray disc player incorporated with the notebook is backward compatible and is also capable of playing and burning traditional DVDs and CDs. Buyers can also choose to have the Blu-ray burner with the Inspiron 1525. A Blu-ray disc can hold up to 50GB of the data.
Besides the Blu-ray disc, the Inspiron 1525 notebook features a 15.4-inch high definition wide aspect display with 720p resolution and an HDMI port for connectivity.
Dell has also given the option to users to choose their color of the laptop from a range of colors available. Chill, Blossom and Commotion, Sunshine Yellow, Midnight Blue and Ruby Red are the colors available.
Dell Inspiron 1525 is now shipping in the American market. Users can also opt to buy accessories for the notebook which include a slim travel power adapter and Dell travel remote control (IR).
