Acer Aspire One Laptop Prices Slashed in the US
In an attempt to combine affordability and value, Acer America has slashed the price of its popular mobile internet device, Aspire One, in the American market. The ultra-lightweight Windows XP Home compliant Aspire one AOA150-1570 is now priced at $349 (approx. Rs. 15,122) from $399, while the Linpus Linux Lite-based Aspire one AOA110-1722 now costs $329 (approx. Rs. 14,255) and the Aspire one AOA150-1447, supporting Windows XP Home, retails for $399 (approx. Rs. 17,288).
An ideal product for accessing internet with ease, the compact and smart Aspire One that weighs only 2.17 pounds enters the entry-level segment to target genres of individuals such as students, travelers, tech-savvy enthusiasts, professionals and consumers who are constantly on the run.
“The Aspire one is a breakthrough product that meets the connectivity needs of both students and mobile professionals,” commented Kristin Markworth, senior manager of notebook product marketing for Acer America. “By increasing the value of our mobile Internet device lineup, Acer is opening the Aspire one experience to a whole new base of users.”
Powered by Intel Atom processor, the Aspire one sports internet surfing, checking email ability, music player, instant messaging functionality, viewing photos, VOIP calls and streaming video. The range also comes equipped with 1GB of RAM memory installed, 120 GB internal hard drive, and a three-cell battery. Whereas, the the Aspire one AOA150-1447 packs a six-cell battery and 160GB internal hard drive.
Backed by a one-year warranty, the Acer Aspire one netbook is currently available at the company’s authorized resellers and at major retailers across US.
