HCL MiLeap Low-End Laptop Series launched in India

HCL Logo Today HCL rolled out MiLeap, an ultra-portable range of laptops in India. Not only these notebooks small in size but are also light on the buyer’s pocket. They will be available for just Rs. 13,990.

The MiLeap X series notebooks are available with both flash-based and disk-based storage versions. Moreover, HCL claims to make MiLeap dustproof and shock-proof. Thus they are durable. Also they are equipped with Wi-Fi and features option for ‘Data card’. The new X series of MiLeap run on GUI-enabled Linux OS.

HCL also launched MiLeap Y series, which will be available from Rs 29,990 onwards. The new Y series is run by the Intel Ultra Mobile Platform and Microsoft’s Vista Home Premium.

The HCL ‘MiLeap’ Y Series is powered by the latest Intel Ultra Mobile Platform and Microsoft’s Vista Home Premium. Furthermore, it is equipped with an ultra-portable Swivel 7-inch touch screen, 80GB HDD, wireless connectivity, Data Card option, Bluetooth and Ethernet network port offering full PC functionality. The Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium-powered MiLeap Y series laptop will be available for Rs. 33,990.

MiLeap series of laptops are powered by Intel processor A110 and Intel 945GU express chipset. Furthermore they are claimed to be energy efficient and offers better battery life.

HCL has announced to ship the new MiLeap laptops from 26 January 2008, which is the Republic Day of India.

    hi,this is govind from mumbai n want to buy a mini laptop.as i m a fashion student and i need a such mini laptop in which i can upload fashion software like coral,Adob photoshop nad like others important softwares……please suggest me good mini laptop.
