Dell has enhanced its Vostro line of notebook PC with 13.3-inch Vostro 1310, 15.4-inch Vostro 1510 and 17-inch Vostro 1710 laptops. These models are designed to meet the demands of small businesses.

These laptops now have a sleek design, with slot load optical drive, boasting to be thinner and lighter as compared to the prior generation Vostro device. The display screen of the new Vostro 13.3-inch claims to have a 94 percent viewing area of a 14.1-inch model and weighs around 20 percent less.

Furthermore, the 1310 and 1510 notebooks integrate additional security features such as fingerprint readers, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 helping prevent unauthorized network access and data theft, cable lock slot, and Dell-exclusive, factory-installed McAfee Total Protection for Small Business security software.

The Vostro 1510 and Vostro 1310 feature Intel Core 2 Duo Processors and up to 4GB memory. The Dell redesigned laptops support Microsoft Windows XP or Vista operating system. For the customer’s satisfaction, these revamped models are available with free services including 10GB of Dell DataSafe Online Backup, Network Assistant and PC TuneUp; and with no trialware.

Dell’s 13.3-inch Vostro 1310 is priced at $749 and 15.4-inch Vostro 1510 retails for $599, and are available in the US, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and Japan. A redesigned 17-inch Vostro 1710 laptop is scheduled to release in mid-May. However price is unclear.
