Devon’s Upgraded SafeBook Thin Client Notebook Unveiled

SafeBook Thin Client Notebook Devon IT, the fastest growing provider of thin client terminals, has introduced its new SafeBook thin client laptop model, giving a boot to hard drives. It is equipped with its enhanced terminal operating system allowing desktop and Internet access through a wide range of protocols.

The features of the new SafeBook model, which carries no hard drive, are 02.11 wireless and 3G aircard support, VIA C7-M processor, as well as built-in 802.11 a/b/g wireless adapters with support for WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK encryptions. IT also comes with a PCMCIA slot, which hosts 3G aircards for pervasive network access.

All the applications run securely from servers in companies’ data centers. Through Citrix ICA or Microsoft RDP protocols, authorized users gain remote access.

The SafeBook was launched in October, 2006, providing consumers the mobility of a laptop computer with the added advantages of advanced security and lower total cost of ownership. Now, the price of the SafeBook Thin Client Notebook will start from $599 (approx. Rs. 24000).
