Packard Bell EasyNote XS UMPC Unveiled

Packard Bell EasyNote XS notebook Packard Bell, one of the leading consumer electronics brands in Europe, has announced the availability of its latest 7-inch ultra-portable notebook PC, called the EasyNote XS.

According to Packard Bell, XS stands for three main features, namely Xtra Small, Xtra Strong and Xtra Smart.

Running on Windows XP Home Edition, EasyNote XS has been designed to be a consumer’s everyday mobile companion. Weighing 950grams and measuring just 30mm thin, it is an ideal choice for buyers who find full-sized notebooks too big and PDAs too limited.

Emmanuel Fromont, sales and marketing vice president, Packard Bell, commented “For all of us who wants to stay connected in a comfortable way, this is the perfect companion. It has all the functionalities of a notebook – it just happens to be very small,”

  • Full size keyboard
  • Built-in Wi-Fi
  • A VGA webcam
  • 4-in-1 memory card reader
  • Two USB ports
  • Stereo speakers
  • Additionally, Packard Bell also sports up to 1024MB of RAM and 30GB hard drive. VIA delivers ultra-low power consumption from its Ultra Mobile Platform that provides extra-long battery life of 3 hours with Wi-Fi on to the EasyNote XS.

    The Packard Bell EasyNote XS ultra-mobile notebook PC is currently available in Europe. Price varies according to the models.
