Toshiba Introduces a New Satellite U305 Notebook Series

U305 Series Notebook On Monday, Toshiba America has launched new laptops in the Satellite series called U305. The series includes three notebooks: U305-S5097, S5107 and U305-S5127.

All U-305 series notebook boast some common features such as a 13.3-inch wide screen with 1280×800 resolutions, a 1.3megapixels webcam, a DVD burner and support for 4GB of RAM memory. The new laptops are especially designed for students.

The first Satellite notebook model is named U305-S5127 and it uses the Santa Rosa platform (Intel GM965 chipset). The S5127 notebook has 200GB of storage capacity and 2GB or RAM memory. Other specifications include a Core 2 Duo T7100 processor at 1.8 GHz and the graphics card is provided by Media Accelerator X3100. Price of the Toshiba U305-S5127 laptop is $1,400 (around Rs. 56,600).

The other models, U305-S5097 and U305-S5107 - both incorporate the Napa Intel chipset and a Graphic Media Accelerator 950. The main differences between these two systems are the processor and the RAM memory. The Toshiba U305-S5097 uses a Pentium dual-core T2130 with1.83Mhz and 1GB RAM while the U305-S5107 has an Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 processor at 1.73Ghz and RAM of 2GB.

That’s not it; Toshiba is also offering connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, 3 USB ports, ExpressCard slots, a 5-in-1 media card reader and FireWire.

Besides, all U305 series models are made secured with a fingerprint reader is included.

The price of the Toshiba Satellite U305-S5097 is $899, while the U305-S5107 has a price tag of $1,149.
