Acer Aspire 5920 and 4710 Notebooks Launched in US

Acer America yesterday introduced two new Gemstone notebook PCs, the Aspire 5920 and 4710, in North America.

The Aspire 5920 is a multimedia powerhouse PC, which offers 15.4” wide display and has the ability to play HD-DVD. The notebook also features Acer CrystalBrite, a technology, which delivers maximum screen brightness in all kinds of lighting conditions. The notebook also features Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound through which users can enjoy surround sound using two to six speakers.

The Aspire 5920 from Acer configuration is: Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate, Intel Core2 Duo Processor T7300 (4MB L2 Cache, 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB), 2GB (1/1) DDR2 667 SDRAM; 200GB hard drive, integrated HD DVD-ROM drive (CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM), 5-in-1 card reader, 15.4″ WXGA (1280 x 800) TFT display, Acer CrystalBrite Technology, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics, 802.11a/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth, gigabit LAN, V.92 modem

On the other hand, the Aspire 4710 is a stylish 14.1″ entertainment notebook, which is loaded with Dolby surround sound system with S/PDIF support. The powerful surround sound system delivers solid multimedia performance. The notebook is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors and radiant graphics.

The Aspire 5920 notebook comes along with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate, while the Aspire 4710 comes loaded with Vista Home Premium. Also the notebooks are preinstalled with Acer GridVista, Acer Arcade, Adobe Reader, Norton Internet Security and CyberLink Power Producer software suites.

The Aspire 5920’s price begins from $1999 (around Rs. 80,850) whereas the 4710 will start from $599(around Rs. 24,250).

    HI,
    acer aspire 7410 series laptops price is actually between 37,000 to 40,000 rs in singapore. And this model is not available in india. So you better ask some one going on tour to U.S. or singapore to buy it sanket.

    i have the 4710 and is all good but the graphic card is a little poor
    comes with the intel 945gm and isnt so good, but is recommended

    Hi,
    I have Acer 5920. Its a really gemstone from ACER, but I am not satisfy because 5920 have not great with MIC & Speakers. Lots of problem in mic hardware.
    I suggest you go with other model in ACER or chose other brand.

    hi friends i had purchased a acer 5920 yesterday and installed Xp on it removing the linux. i have one probelm whenever i reboot my laptop or shut it down it get stuck at the "windows is shutting down" screen and after that i have to shut it manually by pressing the power button. can anyone tell me why htis problem is and how can i get rid of it.

    Last month i have also taken this LAPTOP from pune,s CROMA showroom.
    the price was 34,800 rs. I have not tested all the functionality of this laptop
    but really this laptop gives problem in running microphone

    will you please provide me the price list of ACER 5920 series and lower then this series immidiately.
    And also please provide me the optional ideas in ACER Series in the range of 35000/- and lower than this.
