Panasonic expands its line of VIERA Plasma HDTVs

 Panasonic VIERA Plasma HDTVs Five new series of VIERA Plasma HDTVs have made their presence in the market by Panasonic with an aim to offer enhanced screen sizes, brighter panels and first-rate features.

Expanding the award-winning line of VIERA HDTVs, the latest Plasma series comprises of the Z1 Series, V10 Series, G10 Series, S1 Series and the X1 Series. All these models support VIERA CAST web menu with quick keyword input that opens the door to a new level of entertainment via Amazon’s VOD streaming video service. Users can not only access Google’s YouTube, Picasa Web Album, Bloomberg and weather service but also HD movie rentals.

In addition, the company also incorporates VIERA Link to make use of HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) for accessing all VIERA Link compatible A/V components using only the TV’s remote control and on-screen menus. The VIERA Image Viewer is also included in the VIERA family of HDTVs, allowing users to view digital still images and even play AVCHD video recorded on SD card (available in selected models).

Other than that, Panasonic adds the THX Certified Display to three product lines, namely Z1 series, the V10 series and the G10 series. It possesses an ability to display all HD and standard definition content at the utmost resolution with accurate color and luminance levels.

Compliant with Energy Star certification, the VIERA Plasma HDTVs are said to be lead and mercury free. The range of VIERA Plasma HDTVs boasts off 100,000 hours of lifespan and 600Hz Sub-field Drive and Infinite Black panel with improved contrast ratios.

Moving away from the common attributes, the distinct features of each series are stated below.

In the VIERA Z1 Series, the Plasma HDTVs flaunts a revolutionary one-inch thin panel design. It is compatible with Wireless HD connectivity for the ultimate sleek, uncluttered HDTV viewing experience. Equipped with the Neo PDP, the Z1 claims to deliver 1080p resolution, a brighter picture, deeper blacks, improved native contrast ratio of 40,000:1 and Full-Time 1080 TV lines of motion resolution. The VIERA Z1 series of Plasma HDTVs will hit the stores by summer of 2009 in the new TC-54Z1 that has a screen size of 54-inch (diagonally).

Second in the list is the VIERA V10 Series. Touted to be a slim, 2-inch thin plasma HDTVs’ range, it features built-in tuners, Digital Cinema Color to produce all movie-essential colors, the Neo PDP design of the V10 series to offer 1080p resolution, deeper blacks, improved native contrast ratio of 40,000:1 and Full-Time 1080 TV lines of motion resolution. The V10 series comes in a 65-inch, 58-inch, 54-inch and a 50-inch screen sizes. While the 50-inch model with one-sheet-of-glass design is slated to be out in May 2009, the rest of the V10 models can be purchased in the summer 2009.

Next is the VIERA G10 Series, the Plasma HDTVs lineup packs in a NEO PDP design that assures 1080p resolution, deeper blacks, improved native contrast ratio of 40,000:1 and Full-Time 1080 TV lines of motion resolution. The G10 series has a wide range of screen sizes like a 54-inch, 50-inch, 46-inch and 42-inch. The 42-inch, 46-inch and 50-inch HDTVs are scheduled to reach the market by March 2009, whereas the 54-inch model will be available in May 2009.

There is the VIERA S1 Series of Plasma HDTVs as well that features the new NEO PDP designs, Full-Time 1080 TV lines of motion resolution to reduce motion blur, 1080p resolution, a native contrast ratio of 40,000:1 and a Game Mode. The S1 series offers an array of screen size options, including 65-inch, 58-inch, 54-inch, 50-inch, 46-inch and 42-inch. All the models except for 54-inch are expected to be available in March 2009. The 54-inch will roll out in the summer of 2009.

Last but not the least, the VIERA X1 Series of Plasma HDTVs offers 720p resolution for stunning picture performance, improved native contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and a Game Mode. The VIERA X1 Plasma HDTVs are available in 50-inch and 42-inch screen sizes.
