New iPod Dock Station with 8.5-inch LCD display unveiled by Philips
Philips has introduced an iPod-compatible multimedia player- the Philips DCD778, which according to the company was designed for use in the kitchen. This iPod Dock Station from Philips can be mounted under any cabinet. This dock even has a cooking timer!
The Philips DCD778, a Docking Entertainment System is fully equipped with an 8.5-inch widescreen LCD display and is capable of playing audio and video from an iPod, DVD, VCD, MP3-CD, CD and Picture CD.
The Philips DCD778 iPod Dock Station also offers a built-in ATSC/NTSCX TV turner, digital AM/FM tuner, a pair of 2-inch speakers, cooking timer with a clock. It also comes with a wireless remote.
According to Philips, the DCD778 Dock Station is compatible with the fourth and fifth-generation iPods, iPod minis and iPod nanos. The Philips DCD778 iPod Dock Station is priced at $400.
