New IdeaPad Flex 2 can be your laptop or your tablet, Lenovo prices it for India

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 2 has come to India and guess what it claims as one of its talents? The device is a laptop which can also flip to tablet mode whenever you wish it. Lenovo calls it a dual mode notebook and it’s hit the nation at a fairly reasonable cost.

Before we divulge the price, here’s a quick run of the IdeaPad Flex 2’s specifications – The laptop is fitted with a 1366 x 768p resolution screen of 14 inches. Its touch capability comes into play best when you push back the display by 360° and have the other side of the screen resting against the back of the keyboard deck.

Changing to tablet (Stand) mode means that the keypad can be found on one side and the display on the other. We’re assuming Lenovo has added a system for locking the keyboard in this case since it would be very frustrating to work with the 10-point multi-touch screen if you’re accidentally hitting the keys on the other side while grasping the Flex 2.

The notebook runs on Windows 8 and gets its steam from a 4th generation Intel Core i3 processor (you have the choice to go up to Core i7 here). If you like playing games, then the optional 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 740M GPU may be needed. The rest of the specs packed into the device include up to 4GB RAM, HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a 720p webcam and more.

The IdeaPad Flex 2 is available across the country for a price of Rs 42,250 or higher.
